Vickie Dworaczyk, new owner of Twin Elm Guest Ranch, came to Bandera for the first time as a young teenage cheerleader from Seadrift, Texas. Her cheerleading sponsor brought the squad to the Twin Elm Guest Ranch for a week of horseback riding, hayrides, and Medina River rafting. The girls bonded over experiencing a dude ranch together in the sleepy hill country town of 'Bandera, The Cowboy Capitol of the World,' and it was a formative experience that has stayed with her most of her life. As a young visitor, Twin Elm Guest Ranch was owned by Frank and Mary Anderwald, who bought the guest ranch in 1959.
